Honor Cord Requirements
Active Mu Alpha Theta Members can earn honors cords for graduation through the following set of requirements:
1. Mu Alpha Theta Member for 2.5 years.
2. Earn 130 QED points in each year of membership.
3. Give a math lecture once in the 2.5 years of membership.
4. Participate in at least two mathematics competitions in each year of membership.
5. Must compete in either the UCSD Honors Mathematics Contest or the CalTech Harvey Mudd Math contest once.
6. Must average 20* hours of community (math related) service per year over the course of 2.5 years.
* In consideration of COVID-19 restrictions and quarentine, we have lowered the hours of annual community service to 10 hours for the 2020-2021 school year.
